The White Sox made a minor move Wednesday, trading right-handed pitcher Scott Carroll to the Texas Rangers in exchange for cash considerations.

Carroll, 31, made his major league debut with the White Sox in 2014, but had struggled to secure a full-time spot in the bullpen. He appeared in only three games this season before being outrighted on July 14.

Carroll owns a career record of 6-11 with a 4.60 ERA in 168.1 innings pitched across three seasons with Chicago.
