Sandy Rosario should be used to this by now.

The right-handed pitcher was claimed off waivers for the third time already this offseason, as the Cubs acquired the 27-year-old from the Red Sox. The move means the Cubs' 40-man roster is full, but with a couple months left in the offseason, that will likely change again.

Rosario signed with the Marlins as a free agent out of the Dominican Republic in 2004 and has appeared for the big-league club in FloridaMiami each of the past three seasons, sporting a 15.26 ERA and 3.26 WHIP in 10 games (7.2 innings).

He's been a much better pitcher in the minors, however. The 6-foot-1 righty has a 3.48 ERA and 1.32 WHIP in 157 career minor-league games, including 27 starts. He was especially good last season, boasting a 1.99 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 17 saves in 31 games, 25 of which came at the Triple-A level.

Rosario has shown an ability to make batters miss with 9.3 K9 in the minors, but has also been hit around, with 9.7 H9.

The Red Sox claimed Rosario off waivers Oct. 17, before designating him for assignment and subsequently trading him to the Athletics a month later. When he was DFA'd by Oakland Nov. 30, the Red Sox jumped back in the mix with a waiver claim Dec. 10.
