Cubs lineup — Sunday

Share

The Cubs try their hand at a series win for the second straight day Sunday. They claimed the first game from the Dodgers by a 5-4 score, but fell yesterday 5-1 as Chris Capuano continued his dominance against the Cubs.

Travis Wood has been called up to start for Chicago as Matt Garza is still dealing with a virus that has hit the team.

Here's the way the Cubs will line up behind Wood

1. David DeJesus RF
2. Tony Campana CF
3. Starlin Castro SS
4. Bryan LaHair 1B
5. Alfonso Soriano LF
6. Joe Mather 3B
7. Darwin Barney 2B
8. Welington Castillo C
9. Travis Wood P

Mather gets a second straight start, this time in place of Ian Stewart. It's a bit of an interesting move considering Stewart's bat has started to wake up of late, but manager Dale Sveum is still trying to keep Stewart fresh.

This is Travis Wood's first start this season and will be his Cubs debut.
