Micah Hoffpauirs hot mid-summer run through the Pacific Coast League schedule continued Sunday at Principal Park as he led the I-Cubs to a 9-6 victory over Portland.
Hoffpauir had four hits, including a homer, and three RBIs, extending his hitting streak to 17 games. Hes batting .414 (29-for-70) with eight homers and 24 RBIs during the streak. Hes also pushed his average from .240 to .272 and now has 87 RBIs.
Jeff Gray gave up three runs in two innings and blew a save but earned the victory.
