Hinrich doubtful tonight vs. Celtics

Tom Thibodeau listed Bulls' point guard guard Kirk Hinrich as doubtful for tonight's contest with the Boston Celtics.

Thibodeau said today that Hinrich did not participate in the team's shootaround this morning, only getting treatment on his injured right hip.

If Hinrich can't go, reserve Nate Robinson will start in his place.

The 5-foot-9 Robinson has been a bright spot for the Chicago bench, averaging 11.5 points on 50 percent shooting and 4.2 assists.

In the one preseason game Hinrich missed, Robinson scored 23 points and handed out 8 assists in a win over Indiana.

Marquis Teague will also be called on to run the second unit. The 19-year-old rookie from Kentucky scored his first career NBA points on Saturday against the Timberwolves. When Hinrich went down in that contest, Teague filled in, playing six minutes while scoring two points on 1-of-3 shooting and grabbing a rebound.

The Bulls next play Wednesday in Phoenix as part of their six-game circus road trip. Hinrich's status is unknown beyond tonight.
