When Johnny Knox suffered a gruesome injury against the Seattle Seahawks on December 18, there were questions about whether the Bears wide receiver would ever play at full speed and strength again. And while he insists his rehabilitation from surgery to stabilize a vertebra in his back is going well, there is still no timetable for his return."No, for me I'm just taking it day by day," Knox said. "No rush. Like I've said, rehab is going well. I'm not trying to rush things and mess things up any worse, so I'm just taking it day by day."Knox is jogging but has yet to run at full-speed, noting that he has "a lot of work to do" before he is ready to even consider coming back this season."Just get stronger, that's my main goal right now," he said. "No rush. I'm going by what the trainers and the doctors say and that's what I'm going to go by."Knox finished the 2011-12 season with 37 receptions and 727 yards. He scored two touchdowns and his 19.6 yards per reception was second in the NFL and tops in the NFC.The Bears addressed the wide receiver position this off-season, trading for all-Pro Brandon Marshall and drafting Alshon Jeffery in the second round of April's NFL Draft.
