Little to show for Bears' offensive line in extended test

The Bears offensive line did little Thursday night to allay concerns of critics despite a long intro opportunity against the Denver Broncos. The Bears finished with 11 rushing yards in the first half and JMarcus Webb was still on the field into the third quarter, failing to show anything close to what coaches are expecting from a No. 1 left tackle. The No. 1 unit minus center Roberto Garza was on the field deep into the second quarter, fitting after a first quarter that saw the Bears net just one first down and six net yards. By midway through the second quarter, Webb had been flagged for one false start and right guard Lance Louis for jumping the snap.Quarterback Jason Campbell, starting for Jay Cutler, was sacked once in the first quarter. Josh McCown was sacked on consecutive plays in the second quarter as the Bears were unable to establish any sort of control at the line of scrimmage. The offense was without No. 1 running back Matt Forte and used reserve Michael Bush first and then Kahlil Bell, with little production. Backs were hit in the backfield too often and Bears quarterbacks were sacked three times in the first half.
