Scottsdale bested the Saguaros, 9-1, Wednesday afternoon. Former White Sox top pick Jared Mitchell went hitless in three at-bats, striking out twice and drawing a walk. Hes 3-for-7 with three strikeouts through two games.

Washington's Bryce Harper, the top pick in this years First-Year Player Draft, is on the Scottsdale roster but did not play Wednesday. He will not be eligible to play until next Wednesday but when he does, the 18-year-old will be the second youngest player to ever appear in the AFL behind Fernando Martinez of the Mets.

Harper hit hitting .319 (15-for-47) with four homers and 12 RBIs in the Florida Instructional League in September. He also posted a .407 on-base percentage and .702 slugging percentage along with a 1.110 OPS.
