Notre Dame, Navy to wear ‘mutual respect' Under Armour gear

Notre Dame and Navy will meet for the 89th consecutive year on Saturday, but for the first time, some aspects of each team's gameday look will be similar.

The two programs are both outfitted by Under Armour, which will provide the same baselayer, gloves, socks and cleats for the two teams:

Notre Dame is 75-12-1 against Navy since the series began in 1927 with the Irish defeating the Mids 19-6 in Baltimore. Notre Dame last lost to Navy in 2010, though the Mids have played the Irish close in the last two years, losing 38-34 in 2013 (South Bend, Ind.) and 49-39 in 2014 (Landover, Md.). Navy ended a 43-yard losing streak to Notre Dame in 2007 and won back-to-back meetings in 2009 and 2010 for the first time since 1960-1961.

The next two sites for Notre Dame's away games at Navy will be in Jacksonville, Fla. in 2016 and San Diego, Calif. in 2018.
