Notre Dame-Temple set for primetime Halloween kickoff on ABC

Notre Dame will kick off its Halloween matchup with Temple at 8 p.m. on ABC.

Temple is currently undefeated in its six games, with only a Thursday night trip to East Carolina separating it from welcoming the 6-1 Irish to Lincoln Financial Field with a top-25 ranking and legitimate shot at earning a New Year's Six bowl bid. Matt Rhule's Owls rank No. 22 in the AP top 25 and No. 24 in the USA Today coaches poll.

While Temple hasn't played an overly difficult schedule, it does have a 17-point win over Penn State and an eight-point win at Cincinnati on its ledger this year.

Notre Dame already played primetime, nationally broadcast games against Texas, Clemson and USC. The Irish will kick off against Boston College at Fenway Park Nov. 21 at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Network, while start times for road games at Pitt (Nov. 7) and Stanford (No. 28) have yet to be announced.

In the Brian Kelly era, 25 of Notre Dame's 32 road or neutral-site games have kicked off in primetime.
