Jimmy Butler scores nine points, Team USA edges past Serbia in Olympics

Team USA got a scare from Australia in its last game, but got an even bigger scare from Serbia on Friday.

The men's basketball team scored the first nine points of the game and led for the entire game, but Serbia made a late run before finally falling 94-91 win against the Serbians. Serbia had the ball down three points on the final possession of the game, but Bogdan Bogdanovic couldn't sink the game-tying 3-pointer.

Bulls wing Jimmy Butler scored nine points, all coming in the first three quarters. He picked up three fouls in 15 minutes of action. Kyrie 

The U.S. led by as many as 18 points in the first quarter, but the Serbians gradually pulled back into the game. The Americans led by 10 points entering the fourth quarter, but couldn't put the game away early. Serbia held the Americans scoreless for the final two minutes of the game.

Team USA is now 4-0 in group play while Serbia fell to 2-2. After winning the first two games by a combined 101 points, the U.S. has been tested in the past two games. They trailed at halftime against Australia before winning by 10 points in the previous game.

The U.S. finishes group play against France (3-1) on Sunday.
