ICYMI: Bears make a statement, Crawford leads Hawks to win, and Bulls rebuild is going as planned

The Bears won a big time statement game under the lights, the Blackhawks won behind a stellar performance from Corey Crawford, and the Bulls might be struggling, but it's all part of the plan. Here's what you may have missed in Chicago sports over the weekend.

Bears

Well, that was fun. The Bears showed just how much they've growin in Sunday nigth's 25-20 win. The Bears-Vikings game was a big time affair, with local Chicago legends making appearances at the tailgate. The Bears now hold a 1.5 game lead in the NFC North, and will turnaround in 72ish hours to play the Lions on Thanksgiving morning.

Blackhawks

Thanks to Corey Crawford's stellar play of late, the Blackhawks' point streak reached four games. It's been a welcome addition to a season that's already seen a coaching change early on. Hawks alum Eddie Olczyk had a special moment before Sunday's game, too.

Bulls

It might not be much fun to watch right now, but the Bulls are exactly where they're supposed to be. Sometimes they'll play amazing halves, and other times they'll play miserable ones. Justin Holiday continues to be a bright spot for the Bulls, however. Down with the Windy City Bulls, Tyler Ullis is playing well. It'll be something to watch as the season gets deeper into the schedule.

Can the White Sox content with teams that are throwing 'stupid' money at free agents? One of those free agents may or may not be Patrick Corbin. On the North side, Doug Glanville had a rough 1997 offseason, which he talks about at length in his offseason journal. For this year's team, though, we look at how the Cubs are approaching the trade market this winter.
