How they fared in 2014: 5-4 (4-2) North Suburban Prairie Conference); The Cougars won five regular season games but failed to make the state playoffs because of low playoff points.

Biggest storyline in 2015: Can the Cougars make it back to the state playoffs in 2015 and win the North Suburban Prairie?

Names to Watch: QB Connor McNamara (senior is one of the best signal-callers in the North suburbs) and WR Kiwanne Durant (senior will be a big-time target in the Cougars passing game this fall)

Biggest holes to fill: The Cougars will break in five new starting offensive linemen this season.

EDGY's Early Take: Vernon Hills came oh-so-close to a state playoff bid in 2014 and I fully expect them to be back in the playoffs in 2015. Connor McNamara, son of Stevenson head coach Bill McNamara, is fun to watch and can beat teams with the run or the pass. .
