CSNChicago.com is your top destination on the road to the 2015 high school football season. CSN preps contributor “Edgy” Tim O’Halloran will take a look at 100 teams in 100 days, counting down to the opening night kickoff on Aug. 28.

School: South Elgin

Head coach: Pat Pistorio

Assistant coaches: Matt Gehrig, Jason Ward, Chris Capps, Jeff Livengood, David Brown, Dan Dufrene, Ian Nathan and Eric Kumerow.

How they fared in 2014: 5-4 (4-3 Upstate 8 Valley Conference); The Storm failed to make the state playoff field because of a low playoff point total.

Biggest storyline in 2015: Can the Storm take the Upstate 8 Valley by storm?

Names to watch: All-Conference senior running back Griffin Hill is a game-breaker; Wide receiver/defensive back Andrew Kamiensky is a terrific all-around player for the Storm.

Biggest holes to fill: Can the Storm replace graduated quarterback Hayden Nelson?

EDGY's early take: Pistorio and the Storm have been building up to this season and it could be a breakout year for South Elgin. Beating Geneva and/or Batavia would be a huge telltale sign.
