The first 75 team profiles will focus on teams making strides across Chicagoland and elsewhere in the state. Starting Aug. 1, we’ll unveil the @CSNPreps Top 25 Power Rankings, leading up to kickoff on Friday, Aug. 26.

School: Geneva

Head coach: Rob Wicinski

Assistant coaches: Jim Kafer, Frank Martin, Jimmy Fromm, Derek Swanson, Gary Campana, Scott Stuewe, Adam Gregait, Gale Gross, Brad Wendell, Reed Allison, Greg Hansen, Jack DeLabar, Rob Williams, Kevin Bell, Steve DeLabar, Jeff Ainsworth, Tom Perry, Doug Rossell

How they fared in 2015: 9-2 (5-1) Upstate 8 (River) Conference. Geneva made the Class 7A state playoff field and defeated Oswego East before losing to Bradley in second round action.

Biggest storyline in 2016: Can the Vikings reload in 2016?

Names to watch this season: RB Lance Arni, WR/DB Noah Davison

Biggest holes to fill: The Vikings feature just one returning starter this season in S/RB Lance Arni.

EDGY's Early Take: If any program can reload it's the Geneva Vikings. While the Vikings will be green in several spots the talent level overall seems to be a constant. Look for Geneva to again be in the upper tier of the Upstate 8 River conference this fall.
