School: Lemont Indians

Head coach: Bret Kooi

Assistant coaches: John Howell, John Coneset, John St Clair, Brent Gagnon, Dave Labarbera, Chris Hardy, Jef Weinefka, Cale Cuester, Willie Hayes, Tim Leffler, Brian Sarocko, Zach Howell

How they fared in 2015: 9-2 (6-0) South Suburban Blue Conference. Lemont made the 2015 Class 6A state playoff field. The Indians defeated Glenwood then lost to Crete-Monee in second-round action.

Biggest storyline in 2016: Can the Indians make a deep run in Class 6A this season?

Names to watch this season: Tight end Logan Christopherson (Missouri), quarterback Spencer Nagel, defensive end Jordan Brown

Biggest holes to fill: Lemont will need to replace three starters on the offensive line this fall.

EDGY's early take: Lemont remains one of the top power programs in both the Southwestern Suburbs and in Class 6A year in and year out. Look for the Indians to again have a chance to make some noise this fall with 15 starters back from a season ago.
