School: Marmion Academy Cadets
Head coach: Dan Thorpe
Assistant coaches: Jim Bonebrake, Justin Dimitri, Gary Urwiler, Bobby Peters, Dave Rakow, Joe Currie, Bob Friel, Jay Cherwin, Dave Gray, Jeff McDonald
How they fared in 2015: 3-6 (0-4) Chicago Catholic League Green Conference. Marmion Academy failed to make the 2015 IHSA state playoff field.
Biggest storyline in 2016: Can experience help the Cadets make it back to the IHSA state playoffs?
Names to watch this season: OL/DL Wes Kramer, FB/LB Nick Auriemma
Biggest holes to fill: The Cadets will need to replace a handful of key players from last season including graduated QB John Tate.
EDGY's early take: Marmion played several underclassmen in 2015 and that learning curve should be shortened considerably this season. If the Cadets can reload on the offensive line in particular this team could be a state playoff caliber team this season.
