CSNChicago.com preps reporter "Edgy" Tim O’Halloran spotlights 100 high school football teams in 100 days. The first 75 team profiles will focus on teams making strides across Chicagoland and elsewhere in the state. Starting Aug. 1, we’ll unveil the @CSNPreps Top 25 Power Rankings, leading up to kickoff on Friday, Aug. 26. You can view Edgy Tim's other football previews here.

School: Metea Valley Mustangs

Head coach: Ben Kleinhans

Assistant coaches: Matt Fehrmann, Matt Main, John Aister, Jeff Schey, Dr. Jim Braun, Drew Fumagalli, Alie Walker, Dan Woulfe, J.D. Sheldon, Rick Kleinhans, Tyler Castro, Chris Leroy, Joe Stephens, Tom Doromal, Chris Melin, Chris Chacon

How they fared in 2015: 4-5 (3-5) DuPage Valley Conference. Metea Valley failed to qualify for the 2015 IHSA state football playoff field.

Biggest storyline in 2016: Can the Mustangs reload after suffering some heavy graduation losses?

Names to watch this season: WR Alec Dodson, OL Bryce Effner

Biggest holes to fill: The Mustangs bring back just two starters on defense in DE Michael Robinson and FS Johnny Jones.

EDGY's Early Take: In most any other conference Metea Valley would have been a state playoff team in 2015, yet welcome to life in the DuPage Valley Conference. If the Mustangs can get some key contributions on defense and in the offensive skills Metea Valley could be a nice sleeper pick this fall.
