School: Evergreen Park Mustangs

Head coach: Jerry Verde

Assistant coaches: Jason Fundukian (OC), Bob DeCarlo (QB), Dave Lang (WR), Jim Jensen (DL), Terry Barney (DB), Bill Yukich (Head Soph), Ron Zimmerman (Head Freshman), Vince Bland (Asst Soph), John O'Connor (Asst Soph), Howie Ross (Asst Fresh), Marty Mulchrone (Asst Fresh), Brandon Banks (Asst Fresh)

How they fared in 2015: 3-6 (2-4), South Suburban Red. Evergreen Park failed to qualify for the 2015 IHSA state football playoff field.

Biggest storyline in 2016: Can the Tigers come of age this fall and make it back into the state playoff field?

Names to watch this season: Can new head coach Jerry Verde get the Mustangs back to their winning ways?

Biggest holes to fill: The Mustangs will be pretty inexperienced in some spots, especially in the back seven on defense.

EDGY's Early Take: Jerry Verde comes over from Marian Catholic and takes over the Evergreen Park program. If the Mustangs buy into Jerry Verde's program they have a very good chance of getting back to the state playoff field this fall.
