Aurora Christian's Jake Wolfe commits to Lipscomb

Aurora Christian senior guard Jake Wolfe opted to end his recruitment on Saturday by committing to Lipscomb during a visit to campus.

One of the area's biggest perimeter threats, the 6-foot-5 Wolfe averaged 18.9 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game last season. Wolfe also shot 52 percent from the field and 40 percent from three-point range.

Wolfe felt comfortable on his visit as Lipscomb has made him a priority during the recruiting process.

"I really like the coaches, the players and the overall atmosphere of the campus and city," Wolfe said to CSN.

Coming off of a 20-win season, Lipscomb and head coach Casey Alexander are hoping to compete for the Atlantic Sun title and an NCAA tournament bid this season as they return most of their core.

Lipscomb hasn't traditionally recruited the area but that could change as assistant coach Sean Rutigliano previously recruited Chicagoland while he was an assistant at Army.

Wolfe is a good start for the Bison as he's the third commitment for Lipscomb in the Class of 2018. Wolfe joins Georgia native and guard Alex Jones and big man Jaxson Strates, a native of Florida.
