Edgy's recruiting news and notes: Trevor Keegan tops 2019 recruits to watch

With just over a week before Kickoff 2017, here are some names to watch this season in the growing Illinois Class of 2019 recruiting class.

Crystal Lake South offensive tackle Trevor Keegan: Keegan is easily the top offensive line recruit in what is shaping up to be another "light" on offensive tackles group. Keegan (6-foot-6, 290 pounds) already has offers form the likes of Penn State, Michigan State, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan and Minnesota and could become a nationally sought after name as early as this fall.

Quincy running back Jirehl Brock: Brock, who is also a standout basketball player for the Blue Devils already has football verbal scholarship offers from Illinois, Iowa, Michigan State, Missouri and Iowa State. He is a bigger back with very good speed and power. Brock (6-foot-0, 186 pounds) has called Iowa his early leader. Expect multiple schools to make a run at Brock starting this fall.

Momence defensive end Jason Bargy: Bargy, who already has a college size body/frame, is the definition of a recruit who passes the eye test. Bargy (6-foot-5, 231 pounds) is holding offers so far from Notre Dame, Illinois, Iowa, Iowa State, Michigan State, Minnesota and Purdue. Expect even more Power 5 schools to get involved starting this season.

Immaculate Conception junior defensive end/outside linebacker Khali Saunders: Saunders, who is holding early scholarship offers from Iowa State, is a high level athlete type who could play multiple spots at the college level. Expect several Power 5 level schools to get more involved with Saunders (6-foot-4, 210 pounds) this fall.

Homewood-Flossmoor defensive back Wynston Russell: Russell (5-foot-10, 180 pounds) transferred into H-F this summer after playing for DeLaSalle in 2016 and already has early offers from UCLA, Iowa State and Western Michigan. He's also drawing serious looks from multiple Big Ten schools this past spring and summer.

Richards safety Sebastain Castro: Castro will give college coaches another look this season. Castro, who has early offers from Iowa, Minnesota, Syracuse and Indiana will also play quarterback this fall for the Bulldogs along with his safety duties. Castro (6-foot-1, 198 pounds) plans to make unofficial visits this fall to both Iowa and Minnesota this season.

Bolingbrook defensive back Cameron Mitchell: Mitchell (5-foot-10, 175 pounds) is holding early offers so far from Northwestern, NIU and Bowling Green and that list will only grow starting this fall.
