Oswego East's Ivory Kelly-Martin pledges to Iowa

Oswego East junior three-star ranked running back Ivory Kelly-Martin (5-foot-11, 195 pounds) announced his verbal commitment to Iowa Monday night via his Twitter account.

 

 

Kelly-Martin, who played his first three high school football seasons at Nazareth Academy before transferring to Oswego East this semester had 14 known scholarship offers from the likes of Illinois, Wisconsin, Arizona and several Mid American Conference schools before committing Monday night to the Hawkeyes. Kelly-Martin, an All State player as a junior in 2015, had 190 carries for 2,036 yards and 33 touchdowns in leading Nazareth Academy to the Class 6A state title.

Ivory-Martin is the eighth known verbal commitment in the Hawkeyes Class of 2017 and the second known State of Illinois pledge, joining Edwardsville four-star ranked defensive end A.J. Epenesa (6-foot-5, 260 pounds) who is the state's top-ranked player in the State of Illinois Class of 2017 Rivals.com recruit rankings.
