Preps Basketball Power Rankings: No. 10 Uplift

Share

2016-17 record: 22-6, 10-0 Public League Red North

Postseason results: Lost to Orr in Class 2A regional finals

Players to watch: Senior forward Toraze Dobbs is one of the better three-point marksmen in the area as he's also a double-double threat thanks to his rebounding ability. The return of junior point guard Markese Jacobs, a Kansas commit, was also vitally important to the Titans as the high-flying guard is one of the most aggressive scorers in the state.

Why they're in the power rankings: One of the Public League's most consistent programs over the last several years, the Titans have dominated the Red-North. Now that the Public League has been realigned, Uplift will have a much tougher schedule, but they should be up to the task thanks to Dobbs and Jacobs.

Did you know? Uplift was the only team to lose to Class 2A champion Orr by single digits in the playoffs last season. The Titans drew an unfavorable playoff draw that meant facing the Spartans for a regional championship on the road despite being ranked in the top 25 all season.
