Players to watch: Sophomore guard D.J. Steward emerged as the state's next big star with his play in Peoria last season as he's capable of taking over a game as a scorer. Besides for Steward, A.J. Nixon, Damari Nixon and Billy Bruce were all key players for the Friars last season.
Why they're in the power rankings: Losing seniors like Jacob Keller and Jamal Nixon will hurt but Fenwick still returns many strong pieces from a school-record 30-win team. Head coach Rick Malnati remains one of the area's great coaches and he has plenty of star power and talent to once again be a major threat.
