Price on fresh start with Bears: ‘This is great'

Brian Price couldn't participate in the Bears' first padded practice of 2012 training camp due to NFL rules, but he couldn't be happier to be in Chicago.

The former second-round pick by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers out of UCLA started 14 games over his first two seasons, but injuries and personal issues led the Bucs to part ways with the talented defensive tackle.

A brand new beginning, a fresh start, Price told reporters in Bourbonnais. It doesnt get any better than this. It's a defensive town, great leaders. The love of the game is just coming back to me.

"Watching practice, it was hard to watch and not be a part of it. Just the tempo, watching the guys, learning from all these guys, this is great; Im happy to be a part of it.

Price had three sacks and 24 tackles last season and will likely begin the season as a backup to Henry Melton and Stephen Paea.
