Viewers' Choice: Vote for High School Lites game coverage

Who wants it more?

We are putting High School Lites, Chicagoland's top prep sports show, in the hands of area football fans in our "Viewers' Choice Game of the Week." Fans will get the chance to pick one game that the @CSNPreps crew will cover on Friday night. We will send our cameras to the game that gets the most votes; highlights and postgame reaction of that game will appear on that night's "High School Lites" broadcast at 11 p.m. — just after Chicago White Sox baseball. The show also live streams at csnchicago.com/watchlive. High School Lites will also have broadcast replays at 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. the following Saturday. This week, it's all about first place: we're featuring games with a direct bearing on who will be in first place in their respective conference at night's end. Which teams will gain momentum after Friday night?

Lemont at T.F. South, 7:00 p.m.

Willowbrook at Hinsdale South, 7:30 p.m.

Montini at Marmion Academy, 7:30 p.m.

Poll opens Monday at 12 p.m. and closes Thursday at 4 p.m. Here is what fans need to do to vote:

— Follow @CSNPreps on Twitter.
— Note the "pinned Tweet" atop the @CSNPreps feed. Vote for the game you want us to cover.
— Spread the word!

We will make an announcement on @CSNPreps just after 4 p.m. Thursday with the official results of which game will be covered. And as a reminder, be sure to follow @CSNPreps for updates on the "Viewers' Choice Game of the week," along with other high school sports news, scores and highlights this season.

2017 regular season schedule:

Aug. 25 – vs. Aurora Christian

Sept. 1 – @ St. Francis

Sept. 8 – @ Glenbard South

Sept. 15 - vs. Riverside-Brookfield

Sept. 22 - vs. Guerin Prep

Sept. 29 – vs. Walther Christian Academy

Oct. 6 - @ Ridgewood

Oct. 13 - @ Chicago Christian

Oct. 21- vs. Elmwood Park

Biggest storyline: Can the Chargers get back to the state playoffs under Brauweiler?

Names to watch this season: senior RB Ryan Cerza, senior RB/LB Jeff Albert

Biggest holes to fill: The Chargers will need to find an answer at quarterback with the graduation loss of quarterback Johnny Belskis.

EDGY's early take: The Chargers needed to hire a new head coach this past winter after Hall of Fame coach John Belskis stepped down. Brauweiler inherits an experienced Chargers team featuring 11 returning starters (seven offense, four defense). If the Chargers can develop a bit of depth this summer, they have a good chance of getting back to the state playoffs in 2017.

Sept. 16 - @ Hillcrest

Sept. 22 - Lemont

Biggest storyline: Can the Rebels continue its winning ways under Padjen?

Names to watch this season: senior OL/DL Hasan Jackson, senior RB/DB Johnt'e Crawford

Biggest holes to fill: The Rebels will need to replace graduated three-year starting quarterback Reis Padjen.

EDGY's early take: Former Hall of Fame head coach Tom Padjen stepped down after coaching the Rebels for 40 seasons. His brother and longtime assistant coach Bob Padjen takes over the program. If the Rebels can settle on a quarterback they have a strong core of returning starters back (five, offense, seven defense) and could make some noise this fall.
