The White Sox have claimed left-hander Daniel Moskos off waivers from the Pittsburgh Pirates and optioned him to Triple-A Charlotte.
Moskos has appeared in 14 games with Triple-A Indianapolis this season, going 1-2 with a 3.86 ERA, 11 strikeouts and a .241 opponents average. He was designated for assignment on June 26.
Moskos was 1-1 with a 2.96 ERA (8 ER24.1 IP) over 31 appearances with Pittsburgh last season, his first at the major-league level.
