Here's your daily update on what the White Sox highly touted prospects are doing in the minor leagues.
Double-A Birmingham
While big-name prospects like Eloy Jimenez and Zack Collins are in the middle of the Birmingham batting order, the guy having the best year there is Seby Zavala. A catcher like Collins, Zavala hit his fifth home run of the season Tuesday and upped his slash line to .321/.406/.643 with a two-hit day. Collins also had two hits, a pair of doubles, to go along with four RBIs, and Jimenez had a single and an RBI in the 9-5 win.
Triple-A Charlotte
Charlie Tilson walked three times, and Casey Gillaspie had two hits, including a double. Ricard Pinto allowed two runs in five innings in a 5-1 loss.
Class A Kannapolis
Luis Gonzalez had two hits, a stolen base and a run scored in a 3-2 win.
