Will Blackhawks continue their franchise record?

The offseason can feel like a lifetime as fans wait to see the Blackhawks once again take the ice. But today the team announced dates to begin purchasing tickets for the upcoming season, so it's time to get prepared for 2012-13.

Preseason

Tickets for the Blackhawks' preseason games will go on sale Monday, Aug. 6 at 10:00 a.m. on Ticketmaster. Fans are allowed to purchase up to eight tickets during the sales. Chicago will take on Philadelphia, Detroit and Pittsburgh before the regular season begins.

Regular season

Tickets for the 2012-13 regular season will go on sale Aug. 20, also at 10:00 a.m. on Ticketmaster. There is no limit on the number of tickets that can be purchased at that time.

The NHL and NHLPA are continuing CBA negotion talks and hope to have a solution or agreement to continue working the logistics of a new CBA in order for the season to begin on time. If they're able to do so, Chicago's first regular season game will be on Oct. 13 against the Columbus Blue Jackets at the United Center.

The Blackhawks led the NHL in attendance for the fourth consecutive year during the 2011-12 campaign, setting a franchise record of 190 consecutive sellout games throughout the regular season and playoffs.
