Versteeg to Philly?
The Blackhawks-Flyers rivalry hasn't been all that heated until the two teams met on hockey's biggest stage in vying for the Stanley Cup last spring. However, that rivalry may be turning a bit more sour as Philadelphia has officially acquired Kris Versteeg from the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for two draft picks.

Versteeg was an integral part of the Blackhawks squad that topped Philly last season, but was also part of the Chicago roster makeover during the summer that saw several key players leave the Windy City. (CSNPhilly.com)
Tice not going to Titans anytime soon
The Titans faxed a formal request to the Chicago Bears to interview assistant coach Mike Tice for the vacant offensive coordinator position in Tennessee. The Bears denied that request Monday, ensuring Tice will remain as the offensive line coach for the Monsters of the Midway for at least one more season. (Chicago Tribune)

Notre Dame QB Montana headed to Montana
Nate Montana, the son of legendary NFL quarterback Joe Montana, has officially left Notre Dame and enrolled at the University of Montana. There were rumors Montana would be headed to a new school and since he was enrolled at Montana by last Friday, he is eligible to participate in spring practice and play this fall. (Chicago Tribune)
Cubs, Smokies will be tied together through '14
The Chicago Cubs have extended their affiliation with the Tennessee Smokies through the 2014 season. The Smokies are currently the Cubs' Double-A affiliate and have been since they joined the organization in 2007 after spending two years with the Arizona Diamondbacks. (Chicago Tribune)
