AUBURN, Ala. (AP) Linebacker Cassanova McKinzy has returned to Auburn's sideline after being examined for a neck injury.

McKinzy, wearing a neck brace and street clothes, was back on the Auburn sideline in the third quarter after leaving Saturday night's game against No. 24 Mississippi. Auburn reported McKinzy had movement in all extremities as was taken to a local hospital.

McKinzy was injured on the final play of the first quarter. McKinzy and other Auburn players were chasing Ole Miss quarterback Bo Wallace, who escaped the rush and completed a pass.

McKinzy appeared to collide with a teammate and remained down on the field for several minutes after the play.

Medical personnel immobilized McKinzy on a flat board before he was placed on a stretcher. He was still wearing his helmet as he was carted off the field and taken to East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Ala.
