ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) Michigan quarterback Devin Gardner guarantees that he and his teammates will bounce back from almost losing to Akron.

Gardner had a career-high three interceptions and lost a fumble, giving the Zips a chance to pull off an upset for the ages against the Wolverines.

He threw two touchdown passes and ran for a score in a 28-24 win Saturday and called it probably the worst game of his career.

Gardner vows that it won't happen again.

Michigan, which is No. 15 in this week's Associated Press college football poll, will play on the road for the first time this season Saturday at Connecticut.
