Falling Sky wins Gulfstream Park Sprint

HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. (AP) Falling Sky won the $100,000 Gulfstream Park Sprint on Saturday, beating 139-1 shot Narvaez by 5 1/2 lengths.

Falling Sky, ridden by Luis Saez and trained by George Weaver, ran 1 1/8 miles in 1:20.65 - 0.20 seconds off the track record of 1:20.45 set by Hilda's Passion in 2011.

Falling Sky returned $31.60, $13.40 and $8.

In the Suwannee River, Parranda extended her Gulfstream winning streak to four - all in turf stakes. She beat Riposte by two lengths in the 1 1/8-mile race for fillies and mares 4-years-old and up. Ridden by Jose Lezcano, Parranda finished in 1:49.07 and paid $6.20, $3.60 and $2.40.
