Travel Photo of the Week, Oct. 16, 2008

Congratulations to Kayla Dixon of Biloxi, Miss. Her photo of Secret Beach in Kauai, Hawaii, generated the most votes from msnbc.com readers in our “It’s a Snap!” contest.

Dixon took the picture earlier this summer. As a member of the U.S. Navy, Dixon said she visits the islands “all the time.”

One “secret” that might surprise you about Secret Beach — you should not make the half-mile walk in if you are offended by the human body and all it has to offer. The east and west ends of the beach are clothing optional. Those who don’t want an eyeful should stick to the middle portion of the sand, near the beach’s access point.
