SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Notre Dame starting nose tackle Pat Kuntz is back at school after missing the spring semester for what he termed personal reasons.
Kuntz was enrolled Tuesday as summer school began and is expected to be enrolled for the start of the fall semester, said Brian Hardin, Notre Dame's director of football media relations.
The 6-foot-3, 285-pound senior was seventh on the team in tackles last season with 42, and led the team with nine pass breakups. He started 10 games as the Irish went 3-9 last season, but missed the final two games with torn ligaments in his left knee and a cracked bone in his spine.
