The UFC and Spike TV will team up to televise UFC 89 on tape delay, giving fans a bit of relief from a long run of pay-per-view broadcasts.

The event will air on Oct. 18 at 9 pm ET on tape delay, emanating from the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham, England.

It features a main event between surging middleweight Michael Bisping and heavy-handed southpaw Chris Leben.

The event also features a trio  of intriguing light-heavyweight matchups. The first pits a pair of unbeatens, with Lyoto Machida taking on Thiago Silva, with the winner likely next in line for a title shot.

Machida (13-0) features a unique style rooted in karate that has made him impossible for opponents to figure out. Silva, also 13-0, is 4-0 since coming to the UFC and has finished all four of his octagon opponents.

The other light-heavyweight matchup of note is Brandon Vera taking on Keith Jardine.

Vera recently made his debut at 205 and won a lackluster decision against Reese Andy. Jardine is hoping to rebound off his knockout loss to Wanderlei Silva.

The last of the 205 bouts expected to air is a matchup between heavy hitters Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou and Luiz Cane.

In other fights scheduled to air, Chris Lytle takes on Paul Taylor and Marcus Davis battles Paul Kelly.
