Trail Blazers take on Clippers
As the Blazers prepare for the Clippers the team was not preparing for a new-look Clippers team until Monday when ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski broke the news on Monday afternoon, that the Clippers and Pistons have agreed on a deal to send Clippers big man Blake Griffin to Detroit. In the deal, the Pistons send Tobias Harris, Avery Bradley, and Boban Marjanovic to LA along with a first-round and second-round pick.
As for the injury reports for Tuesday’s contest, the Blazers are not reporting any injuries. The Clippers have listed Patrick Beverley (right knee surgery) Jawun Evans (sore lower abdominal) and Austin Rivers (right ankle injury) as out vs. the Blazers. Danilo Gallinari (left glute injury) is listed as doubtful.
Blazers recall two-way guard Wade Baldwin from G-League assignment
The Trail Blazers have reportedly recalled two-way guard Wade Bladwin from the NBA G League, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarwoski.
In the G-League, Baldwin was averaging 18.2 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 4.9 assists.
With the two-way contract rules, Baldwin can now spend a total of 45 days with the Trail Blazers during the G League regular season which runs until late March and in that span Baldwin’s salary will not count against the team's salary cap.
Baldwin was selected No. 17 overall by the Memphis Grizzlies back in 2016.
