The pageantry and spectacle of the C.V. Whitney Cup are coming to NBCSN.
The telecast, which airs Sunday at 4 p.m. ET, will be the most technologically advanced polo broadcast to date. Producers plan to use an aerial drone, to show angles of the action that haven't been seen before.
The broadcast will also include a tribute to the late polo great Carlos Gracida, profiles of Polo Hall of Fame inductees Adam Snow -- who will also be the color commentator for the telecast -- and Fuss Budget, the legendary polo horse. Viewers will also receive tutorials on polo rules and regulations.
The C.V. Whitney Cup, which was first held in 1979, was named after Cornelius Vanderbilt "Sonny" Whitney, one of the most famous figures in U.S. polo history.
