One of the questions stemming from Alistair Overeem's failed pre-UFC 146 drug test was whether the Nevada State Athletic Commission would overturn the result of his UFC 140 bout against Brock Lesnar since part of the conditional license he received to fight Lesnar was that he had to pass a drug test within six months after the fight. Overeem beat Lesnar Dec. 30 in Las Vegas via first-round TKO.

However, NSAC executive director Keith Kizer said recently that won't be the case.

"By itself, (the) test result has no effect on that decision," Kizer told The StarPhoenix.

As of Friday morning, Overeem and his camp have yet to make any kind of statement about Wednesday's announcement that he tested positive for a testosterone-to-epitestosterone ratio of 14:1. The NSAC's T/E ratio limit is 6:1, while other major commissions have a limit of 4:1.

The UFC has also refrained from commenting on the situation, so as of Friday, Overeem is still listed as facing Junior dos Santos at UFC 146 on Memorial Day weekend. Overeem is expected to request his B sample get tested, but he has yet to formally make that request to the NSAC.
