Veteran Bart Palaszewski is making the move to featherweight.

Brian Butler-Au, Palaszewski's manager at SuckerPunch Entertainment, confirmed with NBCSports.com that "Bartimus" has decided to drop down to 145 pounds. No specific reason for the drop was given.

Palaszewski (35-14) made his MMA debut in January 2002. He was scheduled to make his UFC debut at UFC 130 last month, but an injury forced him to withdraw from the fight.

The 28-year-old Polish-American most recently lost Kamal Shalorus at WEC 53 in December. The loss snapped his four-fight winning streak.

According to Butler-Au, no opponent has been signed for Palaszewski's featherweight debut.
