Joel Embiid is injured but his sense of humor is not.
Less than two hours after the Sixers announced he suffered a concussion and left eye orbital fracture colliding with Markelle Fultz (see story), Embiid took to Twitter with, what else, a “trust the process” reference.

The photo shows Embiid lying on the court with his hand over his left eye after a handoff attempt gone wrong. His tweet had over 4,800 likes in the first 10 minutes since posting.
Embiid will undergo surgery for the fracture “in the coming days,” according to the team. He also will have to pass the NBA concussion protocol before he can return. An estimated timeframe is two to four weeks, ESPN’s Zach Lowe reported.
Embiid gave a glimpse into the severity of the injury Wednesday night when he posted an Instagram story from the hospital with the caption, “Not good.”
