Delaware leads all the way in win over North Carolina Wesleyan

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Darian Bryant hit from 3 just 17 seconds after tipoff, Derrick Woods and Kevin Anderson had big shooting games and Delaware led all the way to an 88-70 win on Tuesday over North Carolina Wesleyan at the Greensboro Classic.

Woods scored a career-high 19 points on 7-for-8 shooting and hauled down 10 rebounds for first career double-double while Anderson scored a season-high 17 points for the second straight game.

After the first six minutes, the Blue Hens (3-2) had built a 23-9 lead and it remained in double digits the rest of the way. Bryant, Anthony Mosley, Jacob Cushing and Skye Johnson each scored seven points for Delaware, which shot 52 percent (32 of 62) from the field with nine 3-pointers and a 44-34 rebounding advantage over the Division III Battling Bishops.

Justin Tankelewicz paced Wesleyan with 15 points on five 3-pointers.

NEWARK, Del. -- CJ Massinburg had 28 points with five 3-pointers and a career-high 14 rebounds, and Buffalo held off Delaware 75-72 on Wednesday night.

Davonta Jordan added 20 points and the Bulls (5-3) made 30 of 60 from the floor.

Delaware closed to 45-43 on Ryan Allen's three free throws, but Massinburg hit back-to-back 3s amid a 17-6 run and Buffalo led 62-49. Ryan Daly's layup capped a 12-2 run and the Blue Hens closed to 71-67, but Nick Perkins made a layup and Jeremy Harris dunked in the final 2:31 and Buffalo hung on.

Massinburg hit his third 3 of the first half and the Bulls led 38-32 behind his 19 points and nine rebounds.

Daly scored 22 for Delaware (4-5), Allen had 16 and Chyree Walker 12. Eric Carter, who missed three of the last four games with an ankle injury, had 11 boards.

ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- Bryce Dulin scored a career-high 30 points with 8-for-12 shooting to lead Navy to an 82-76 win over Delaware on Friday night.

Shawn Anderson added 20 points for Navy (6-3), which shot 51 percent from the field and was 26 for 35 from the line. Dulin was 4 of 6 from behind the arc and sank all but one of his 11 free throws.

Navy raced out to a 15-point lead in the second half before Delaware (4-4) rallied with a 20-1 run to take the lead 47-43 with 12:45 to play. Kevin Anderson sank the go-ahead 3-pointer during the comeback run.

Cam Davis then fueled an 8-0 burst for Navy with a pair of 3-pointers as the teams battled through three lead changes and two ties over the next nearly five minutes. A pair of free throws from Tyler Riemersma gave Navy the lead for good and Bryce Dulin quickly padded it with a 3-pointer to make it 62-58 with 7:33 left.

The Midshipmen, who hadn't played Delaware since 1993, held off the Blue Hens the rest of the way.

Ryan Daly's 23 points led five Delaware players in double figures.
