WILMINGTON, N.C. -- Jordon Talley had a season-high 24 points with six assists, Devontae Cacok notched his 10th double-double of the season and UNC Wilmington rolled to a 107-87 victory over Drexel on Tuesday night.
Cacok finished with 23 points and 16 rebounds for the Seahawks (4-10, 1-1 Colonial Athletic Association), while Jaylen Fornes added a career-high 21 points on 8-of-11 shooting. Jeffrey Gary scored 11 and Marcus Bryan chipped in with nine points and nine rebounds for UNC Wilmington, which won the battle of the boards 43-24.
Kurk Lee led the Dragons (6-9, 0-2) with 22 points, while Troy Harper scored 21.
Drexel led 4-0 early, but Talley's 3-pointer sparked a 12-2 run and the Seahawks never trailed again. UNC Wilmington led 57-40 by intermission and quickly pushed its lead to 20 on Fornes' 3-pointer early in the second half. The Seahawks shot 59 percent from the floor.
Rokas Gustys scored a career-high 20 points and pulled down 16 rebounds and Hofstra held off Drexel 91-86 on Saturday.
Gustys reached the 10-rebound mark for the 64th time in his career and posted his 42nd career double-double. Justin Wright-Foreman, the Colonial Athletic Association's top scorer, added 20 to notch his 40th straight game in double figures, the nation's fifth-longest streak. Eli Pemberton added 19 for the Pride, who shot 61 percent.
Gustys had a basket and Pemberton a 3-pointer to give Hofstra (11-7, 4-2) a five-point lead with 15 minutes left. Gustys scored six points in a 12-1 run that extended the lead to 13, 68-55, with 9:43 to go.
The Dragons (7-12, 1-5) charged back late, getting within 86-84 with 38 seconds left on Tramaine Isabel's bucket but the Pride then made 5 of 6 free throws.
Isabell finished with 25 points and Sammy Mojica, who reached 1,000 career points, matched his career high with 22.
David Cohn tied his season high with 26 points on 10-of-14 shooting and Nathan Knight finished with a double-double to propel William & Mary to an 85-63 victory over Drexel on Sunday.
Cohn knocked down 4 of 5 from 3-point range as the Tribe (11-4, 4-0 Colonial Athletic Association) shot 45.5 percent (10 of 22) from distance. Knight scored 19 and grabbed 13 rebounds as William & Mary controlled the boards 41-30. The Tribe outscored Drexel 21-6 on second-chance points and won for the 10th time in 12 games.
William & Mary sank half of its 32 shots, including 5 of 11 from 3-point range, and used a 13-0 run to take 45-34 lead into halftime. The Tribe pushed their lead to 20 midway through the second half and hit cruise control from there.
Alihan Demir and Tramaine Isabell scored 14 apiece to pace the Dragons (7-10, 1-3).
