Tramaine Isabell scored a career-high 40 points -- including 10 of Drexel's last 16 -- and the Dragons beat Elon 83-79 on Thursday night.

Steven Santa Ana made a pair of free throws and Sheldon Eberhardt hit a 3-pointer to give the Phoenix a 72-67 lead with 3:57 left. That's when Isabell went on his own 10-0 run in consecutive possessions: he made a 3-pointer, 1 of 2 free throws, another 3 and ended with three free throws after he was fouled by Eberhardt behind the arc.

Tyler Seibring buried a 3 to pull Elon within 75-77 with 72 seconds to go before Alihan Demir pushed the lead back to four after a jumper.

Eberhardt made a layup with 35 seconds left, but Troy Harper and Sammy Mojica each made a pair of free throws to seal it.

Harper scored 14 and Demir had 11 for the Dragons. Isabell was 14-of-23 shooting, including 7 of 11 from long range. He added six rebounds, three assists and three steals. Drexel (8-14, 2-7 Colonial Athletic Association) snapped a five-game skid.
