Eagles Finally Graduate from Lehigh, Will Hold Camp in South Philly

Share

The Eagles announced this morning that they will no longer be holding training camp at Lehigh University, instead opting to keep things close to home and train at the NovaCare Complex in South Philadelphia. The practices at NovaCare will not be open to the public as those at Lehigh were, but the team will hold some open practices across the street at the Linc for the public to enjoy.

This is all a friendly reminder that Chip Kelly's Eagles are not Andy Reid's Eagles.

Some fans will obviously be bummed about the change, missing out on their yearly pilgrimage to watch the Birds at camp, but the facilities at the NovaCare Complex are simply superior from the team's perspective.

"The interaction with our fans during the training camp period remains a
huge priority," said Eagles president Don Smolenski. "As such, we are currently planning to
utilize the opportunities available to us at Lincoln Financial Field to
have a number of open practices (which will be free) available to all of
our fans. We'll announce those specific plans in the coming weeks."
