As the Eagles resumed practice on Thursday afternoon, they saw the return of their starting middle linebacker but were without their top return man.

Kenjon Barner (illness) was not at practice as the Eagles began their Super Bowl prep from inside their practice bubble at the NovaCare Complex. In his place, Nelson Agholor worked as the team's kick returner during special teams drills.

This postseason, Barner has returned one kick and one punt. His kick return went for 26 yards and his punt return went for 10. On the season, he averaged 19.4 yards per kick return and 8.9 yards per punt return.

Running back Jay Ajayi (ankle) was a limited participant.

Dannell Ellerbe (hamstring), who missed the NFC Championship Game, was back at practice on Thursday and was even participating in individual linebacker drills. Veteran Najee Goode started in his place last Sunday.
