Eagles over their illnesses as defensive starter returns

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. — After missing the last two days of practice because of illness, Eagles defensive tackle Tim Jernigan was a full participant on Friday.

That means that all 53 players on the active roster were able to practice in full at the University of Minnesota on Friday. Obviously, the Eagles have suffered huge losses this year, but the guys who are left seem pretty healthy heading into Super Bowl LII on Sunday.

In addition to Jernigan, Jay Ajayi (ankle), Fletcher Cox (calf), Dannell Ellerbe (hamstring) and Ronald Darby (illness) were also full participants.

The Eagles seem to be passing around this cold bug. Jernigan has been sick all week and part of last, Darby popped up on the injury report Thursday, and last week, Kenjon Barner and Doug Pederson were sick.

Ellerbe hasn't been talked about much but he did miss the NFC Championship Game with that hamstring injury. It looks like he's going to be able to play in the Super Bowl.
