At Least Lurie Admitted Andy is Frustrating at Times

Jeffrey Lurie said quite a bit about the Eagles' disappointing 2011 season and discussed how Andy Reid's future as head coach was determined (more on that here and here).

One of the better questions that the media asked (I'm not sure who it was) was the one directed at Andy's ostensible arrogance with the media and fans in his postgame press conferences. Lurie responded by saying this wasn't arrogance. Far from it. But rather a way for Andy to protect his players. Perhaps there's a nugget of truth in there, the more I think about it, the more I see it, but damnit, there sure seems like some arrogance after all those throat clears.

Anyway, the point I wanted to get to, is that -- despite whether you hated everything else Lurie said -- it was nice to hear that he at least recognizes just how damn frustrating Reid's press conferences can be.

(I know, I know. He didn't fire Reid so you don't care what else he had to say. We get it. Some of you are pissed. If you were Lurie, who would you like to see coach the Birds next year in a perfect world?)
