Drexel drops double-overtime thriller to Towson

TOWSON, Md. -- Mike Morsell scored 32 points, Deshaun Morman hit the game-winning free throws with 43 seconds left, and Towson survived to win a 104-103 double overtime thriller against Drexel on Thursday night.

Kurk Lee scored Drexel's final points of the night, giving the Dragons a 103-101 lead on a jumper with 1:52 left in the second overtime. A John Davis free throw for the Tigers (14-10, 6-5 Colonial Athletic Conference), cut the Drexel lead to one. After a defensive stop, Morman was fouled by the Dragons' Kari Jonsson and the junior guard drilled both at the line to give Towson the final lead.

Kurk had two final shots to win it for Drexel, but missed a 3-pointer and a jumper following a Mohamed Bah offensive board.

Arnaud William Adala Moto scored 21 points with 11 rebounds, while Davis added 19 points and 16 boards for Towson.

Rodney Williams scored 27 and Lee added 25 for Drexel.
