As the NBA preseason came to a close Friday night, two former Villanova Wildcats were dealt their fate.

Point guard Ryan Arcidiacono was waived Friday following the Spurs' game against the Rockets, according to San Antonio Express-News, while Daniel Ochefu survived the Wizards' final cuts, per CSN Mid-Atlantic.

Arcidiacono, who signed a two-year contract with the Spurs this past offseason, appeared in just three games for the Spurs during the preseason, finishing with five points and 10 assists in 49 minutes. While he failed to make the Spurs' roster, he will get a shot at making their D-League team, the Austin Spurs.

Ochefu signed a three-year deal with the Wizards in July, and his preseason play made it difficult for them to cut him. In limited minutes, Ochefu scored 13 points, five steals, five assists and 11 rebounds during the preseason. His best game game came against the Kings, in which he scored six points and had four steals.
